The Creators Collection | Meet Nico

You've Seen the Pieces. Now Meet the Person Behind Them.

The Creators Collection isn't about chasing trends or pushing out product. It's about working closely with people we genuinely respect and giving them the space to turn ideas that mean something into finished pieces you'll actually wear. Nico is someone we've been working with for over a year now. Not just on content or quick collaborations, but on refining ideas, testing samples, and slowly bringing this collection to life.

Nothing here was rushed. There were multiple samples, design meetings that went for hours, and tweaks along the way to make sure every piece felt right. The end result is a collection built on trust, time, and intention. Taking symbols and messages that mean something deeply to Nico - a creator from the US - and translating them into jewellery you can wear every day.

This is more than just another drop. This is about bringing meaning into something wearable. Seeing those ideas come together over twelve months? That's a pretty special thing.

This is Nico's story, and this is how his Creators Collection came to life.

The Inspiration: Rooted in Something Real

For Nico, the inspiration didn't come from a moodboard or a design brief. It came from something far more personal - his own skin.

His collection is rooted in his tattoos. Symbols and phrases he already lives with every single day and genuinely believes in. These aren't random designs he thought would look cool. They're reminders he chose to make permanent because they matter. The goal wasn't to tell people his story directly, but to create pieces that could stand on their own. Pieces that anyone could connect with, whether they knew the backstory or simply felt drawn to the meaning behind the symbol.

And here's the thing - translating something that personal into jewellery isn't easy. It would've been simple to rush it or take shortcuts. But that's not what this is. Every piece in this collection is handmade from solid 925 sterling silver because we only create pieces that last. The kind you don't take off. The kind that becomes part of who you are.

The result is a collection that feels considered, grounded, and intentional. Nothing loud. Nothing forced. Just jewellery that quietly carries meaning.

The Three Pieces: Symbols That Stay With You

Each piece in Nico's collection carries its own message. Separately, they stand strong. Together, they tell a story about awareness, connection, and personal growth.

BE KIND RING

The Be Kind ring comes directly from Nico's own hand tattoo. Two simple words that carry serious weight when you actually try to live by them. For him, it's a reminder to lead with kindness, especially in moments where it would be easier to react with ego or frustration. It's not about perfection. It's about awareness. About catching yourself in everyday moments and choosing how you show up.

UNITY RING

The Unity ring features the Seed of Life symbol - sacred geometry representing creation, connection, and the idea that everything is linked. For Nico, this piece is about shared experience. The idea that we're all more connected than we realise, even when we're moving through life independently. Emotions, challenges, growth - it's rarely as isolated as it feels. When multiple people wear this ring, it quietly represents community. No explanation needed. Just a shared symbol between people who get it.

OUROBOROS PENDANT

The Ouroboros pendant is the most layered piece in the collection. The snake eating its own tail represents cycles, rebirth, and self-sustainability. For Nico, it also represents hyper-independence - the strength of relying on yourself, but also the risk that comes with it. Sometimes, in trying to be strong, we unknowingly fall into patterns that don't actually serve us. This piece is a reminder to pause and reflect. To question whether what you're doing is helping you grow or keeping you stuck in a loop. Growth doesn't always come from pushing harder. Sometimes it comes from awareness.

A Year in the Making: The Process

This collection didn't come together overnight. We've been working with Nico for over a year, refining ideas, testing samples, and making sure every single piece felt exactly right.

From early conversations to final production, the process was genuinely collaborative. Nico brought forward ideas rooted in symbols that already meant something to him. Our role was to help translate those ideas into wearable pieces without losing their meaning. That's harder than it sounds. You can't just take someone's personal story and slap it onto a ring. It has to feel right. It has to work on the body.

There were multiple sample rounds for each design. The Be Kind ring went through several refinements to make it lighter and more comfortable for everyday wear. The Unity ring came together naturally and felt right from the first round. The Ouroboros pendant took careful balancing to keep intricate detail without overpowering the piece.

Being involved in the details was one of the most rewarding parts. Nico's always had trouble finding rings that fit exactly how he wanted, so being able to dial in proportions and dimensions mattered. The pendant needed to be adjustable so it could be worn comfortably by people with different builds while still sitting the way he wears it.

When the final samples landed and Nico held them for the first time, everything clicked. The collection felt finished, intentional, and true to who he is. Bringing ideas that mean something deeply to someone into physical form? That's magic in its own way.

The Inspiration

What was the main inspiration behind your collection? Was there a specific moment, memory, or feeling that sparked the idea, and how did you translate that into wearable pieces?

The main inspiration behind this collection comes from my tattoos. Each piece is rooted in symbols and phrases I already live with and resonate with on a daily basis. I wanted to translate those personal meanings into wearable pieces that people could connect with, whether they know my story or simply feel drawn to the symbolism themselves.

The Meaning Behind Each Piece

Walk us through each piece in your collection. What does each one represent to you personally?

The Be Kind ring stems directly from my own hand tattoo. It’s a constant reminder to lead with kindness, especially in moments where it would be easier to react with anger, judgement, or ego.

The Unity ring features the Seed of Life symbol, representing creation, unity, and the interconnectedness of all living things. For me, it’s about shared experience and quiet community.

The Ouroboros pendant represents cycles, rebirth, and self-sustainability. It reflects my hyper-independence, both the strength in it and the ways it can sometimes work against you.

The Creative Process

What was the creative process like working with Billie Jo to bring these designs to life?

This collection has been over a year in the making. The process felt natural from the beginning. There was no rush. We went through multiple rounds of concepts and samples, refining proportions, weight, and comfort until everything felt right.

Seeing ideas that started as personal symbols turn into finished pieces was surreal.

The Details That Matter

What’s one detail in your collection that might go unnoticed but you’re really proud of?

The way the Ouroboros pendant sits on the chain. Instead of hanging from a traditional tab, the chain passes directly through the piece, almost like wearing a ring around your neck. It’s subtle, but once you notice it, it changes how you see the piece.

Who This Collection Is For

Who did you picture wearing these pieces, and how do you hope they feel when they put them on?

I designed this collection to be worn every day. The pieces are subtle, not bulky or loud. I pictured people who live with intention and self-awareness. More than anything, I hope the pieces make people feel confident and grounded.

Advice for First-Time Jewellery Wearers

If someone’s never worn jewellery before but feels drawn to your collection, what would you tell them?

Don’t overthink it. Start with the piece that feels right and wear it how you want. There are no rules. If it feels good on you, that’s all that matters.
